Sign in with Discord or Google
Accounts can now be created and signed into with Discord or Google, and existing accounts can connect either provider from the account page.
Signing up no longer needs a password if you would rather not have one. Discord and Google both appear on the sign-in and sign-up pages, and either one creates a full account with the same free upload a day.
If you already have an account, the account page now has a sign-in methods section. You can connect Discord or Google to an account you made with a password, and disconnect them again later.
One deliberate limitation: an account cannot disconnect its last way in. If you signed up with Discord and have no password set, the disconnect button stays disabled until you add one, because the alternative is an account nobody can reach again.
A provider is only ever joined to an existing account when the provider itself confirms the email address. An unverified address is a claim rather than proof, and treating it as proof is how accounts get taken.
