Does Valorant have a replay viewer?
It does now, and it is fine for rewatching a game inside the client. What it does not do is analysis. Client replays expire, live only on your PC, and produce no numbers. valab keeps every match you upload, plays it back in the browser, and turns it into scouting reports, heatmaps and stats.
How do I watch a Valorant replay?
For a quick rewatch, the client now has a replay tab for recent games. For everything else, grab the .vrf from VALORANT/Saved/Demos on your PC and upload it here. A few minutes later the match is ready in the browser, every round scrubbable with the numbers alongside, and it never expires.
What is a .vrf file?
The replay Valorant records for each match. It holds game data rather than video, so positions, damage, purchases and abilities come out exactly as they happened rather than being estimated from pixels.
Where does Valorant save replay files?
Under your user folder, in VALORANT/Saved/Demos. On Windows the full path is usually %LOCALAPPDATA%\VALORANT\Saved\Demos. Each file is named after the match id and is typically 40 to 70 MB.
Is valab a replay analyzer or a stats site?
Both at once. The same replay that plays back on the map also produces the scouting report, the heatmaps and every stat on the site. Nothing is estimated from an API.
What does it cost?
Accounts are free and come with a replay upload every day. Paid plans start at $4 a month for ten a day and $10 for twenty-five. The demo match is open without an account at all.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Replays are uploaded through the browser and play back in the browser. There is no client, no overlay and nothing that runs alongside the game.
Is uploading a replay against Riot’s rules?
Reading a replay file you already own is not the same as modifying the game. valab never touches the Valorant client, never runs while you play, and reads nothing but the file the game itself wrote to your disk.
Who can see the matches I upload?
Only your account. Your matches, stats and scouting reports are private to you, and real player identities never leave the server. The one exception is the demo match linked from the homepage, which is public on purpose.
How long does a replay take to process?
A few minutes for a full match. The work is reading every round of the file rather than watching it, so a long overtime match takes longer than a quick one.
