Round review, and a replay that fills the screen

Every match has a round review of all ten players that links each moment into the replay, trades count the way Riot counts them, and the replay can fill the window or the screen.

Patch notesUpdated

Added

  • Round review, a page of its own for every match. Open it from the tab beside Replay or the button at the top of the match page.
  • All ten players in one grid, each under their agent. Open a player to see what they did well and what to work on, with the reason beside each.
  • What it reads, good and bad. First fights won, trades, clutches, flash assists, multi-kills and rifles beaten on a cheaper gun. First deaths nobody traded, deaths away from the team, from behind, in a crossfire or mid-reload, dying with utility unused, a rifle lost to a cheaper gun, a trade not taken and a flash that got a teammate killed.
  • Each one is graded per round against real ranked and unrated matches. A strength shows when you did it more often than three in four players. A mistake shows only when it happened at least twice and more often than nine in ten, so one bad round does not make the list.
  • Round by round, every round with the moments flagged in it. Click one and the replay opens at that round, at that moment.
  • The replay can fill the window or go full screen, from the two buttons beside rotate. The site header, match title and boards step aside, so the map, controls and timeline fit on one screen. Esc brings the page back.
  • Caught with utility out, beside caught reloading: a death with an ability in hand instead of a gun.
  • Whose death was traded, in a context column of its own. It is counted but never marked good or bad, since dying more often is more chances to be traded.
  • Round by round shows one team at a time if you pick one, with wins and sides read from that team.

Changed

  • A kill that avenges two teammates at once now trades only the most recent of them. That is how Riot counts it, checked against Riot’s own trade count for real matches.
  • Trade counts, and the T in KAST, can read a little lower on matches where one kill avenged two teammates.
  • Highlights are marked by colour alone, with no ticks or crosses.
  • The Round review button sits under the replay and its boards, where watching the match ends.

Fixed

  • On phones, the last loadout card of a team no longer stretches across the whole row.

Known limits

  • Riot has used a shorter trade window on some older patches, and valab keeps 3 seconds for every match so trades compare across patches.
  • The full screen buttons are hidden on phones. In a window under 1200 px wide the player cards sit under the map, so filling the window still leaves a short scroll.
  • Utility out is read from replays processed since this update. Matches uploaded before it show a dash in that column.
